Here is some recent achievements:

The mandate of Environnement-MJ consisted in preparing technical and economic feasibility study for a greenhouse project. The greenhouse project incorporated advance technology and incorporated several energy saving technologies to insure an environmentally friendly and economically viable project. The heating system use woody biomasses from a local supplier as a principal heat source, which is renewable and considered carbon neutral. The greenhouse perimeter wall is insulated below frost line and the north wall is insulated on its entire surface (Equivalent to 8% energy savings when compared to a normal greenhouse). The structure also incorporated energy screens that enable an additional 25% energy savings. Short, medium and long term financial forecast were established to properly evaluate sustainability conditions for the project.

Within the frame of its mandate, Environnement-MJ successfully obtained a $100 000 grant for one of its greenhouse customers to help with the installation of energy saving measures. Moreover, Environnement-MJ help bond a link between this customer and researchers with a University for the customer to develop new markets by introducing new products and new productions methods.

The study consisted on providing a company with a valuable information regarding the production of gelato, sorbets and ice cream pour a factory located in northern Québec. Information was gathered on all required equipment as well as the cost of the products and equipment.

In a hog slaughterhouses, Environnement-MJ proceeded with the instrumentation and data collection within the factory with the objective of accumulating data to produce a recommendation and improvement report. Instrumentation of refrigerated areas and data collection. Verify relative humidity, air movements and temperature the slaughter process. Analyse the data collected in 4 slaughterhouses used to write a recommendations report.
