Environnement-MJ is involved in several research and development projects working on introducing new technologies that will help increase productivity in greenhouse operations. Environnement-MJ has worked with greenhouse growers to help solve current production issues. A first project consisted in the development of a hand held battery operated food grade harvesting machine. The machine has helped the grower reduce his harvesting time by as much as 50%. A second project was performed on a greenhouse heating system where several performance problems were identified; a recommendation report followed and will enable the reduction of fuel consumption by as much as 10 000 litres per annum. Environnement-MJ works with greenhouse operators in order to reduce there energy consumption and increase productivity via innovation and technology.

Entrepreneurs from the “Capitale-Nationale” region were awarded during the Quebec entrepreneurial contest ceremony that was held at the “Château Mont-Sainte-Anne” on April 28th. Environnement-MJ finished first in its category “Business Services” among more 98 projects that were presented. The next step from Environnement-MJ will take place at the national level of Quebec entrepreneurial contest. It’s on June 17^th 2010 that the winners of the 12^th edition of the Quebec entrepreneurial contest will be revealed. 

Entrepreneuriat Laval and its partners honoured, last Thursday on April 15^th, during the 12^th edition of the Quebec entrepreneur contest, local level (University Laval), 24 young entrepreneurs that shared $ 21 800 in prizes and services. Among the winners, Envrionnement-MJ finished first in the category “Business Services”. Environnement-MJ will pursue with this current and will participate, on April 28^th, to the final of the regional section of the 12^th edition of the Quebec entrepreneur contest
